Origin and history

The Georges Pompidou Museum in Montboudif is a monument located in the commune of Montboudif. Although his name evokes a reference to former French President Georges Pompidou, no additional information is available on his creation, history or specific cultural vocation. Museums in rural areas, such as Montboudif, often play a key role in preserving local heritage and transmitting collective memory.

In Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, these institutions can reflect traditional crafts, agricultural or industrial traditions specific to their territory, while serving as a gathering place for residents and visitors.
